In the last couple of days I have seen God's work in full force. A little boy struggling with multiple health issues in a far away country bringing together a community to secure him funding AND a forever family. I am lucky enough to know this little boys forever family and and I know God chose the right family for him.
Then I blogged about a little boy who only had a couple of months to find his forever family or lose any funding he had. Anyone who saw the video would agree he has so much potential and would thrive with a family and not in an institution. Now for this little boy I had to bring out the big guns :) While I belong to a big community of parents with children who happen to have that extra special something, my voice is not as how shall we say.. out there? Well a wonderful lady began to advocate for him and now he has found his forever family as well.
I also talked to another mommy who was considering adopting through RR and it looks like that might be where she is heading. Truly this is something that is bigger than us! This is God's work. This is God's plan.
I truly believe that each and every child on RR has a family out there! That is why it is extremely important that everyone advocate for these children. For every Cliff there are so many more like him. You can advocate for a child by donating to bring these children home to their forever families, praying that they find families, adopting, or just sharing our stories. Had nobody shared little Alexander's story.. his momma would not have seen him. Had someone not shared Cliff's picture, I would not have found him.
I worry about being able to raise the funds to get Cliff but I truly believe God has a plan for us and we will find a way. Tonight someone said how angry they get that people adopt internationally when children in the United States need homes. See this gentlemen is a little rough around the edges and honestly I think he speaks before thinking. I just simply told him that I am doing what God has planned for me. Throughout my life, God has seen me through some amazing and not so amazing things and I am a stronger person because of it. From now on I am just going to keep reminding myself good or bad it is all according to His plan and leave it into his hands. Keep us in your prayers and God bless you!
You are so right! He never promised it would be easy but He does promise that He will be there every step of the way:) Just know that you've got a prayer warrior in me.
