Middle of the week fun

Nothing new on the adoption front.. they are really correct when it seems like rush rush rush then wait wait wait! So my post tonight was going to be about perseverance. Over the last week, Jacob has been working so hard on walking. He use to be in the middle of the floor and would get into the wheelbarrow looking position and try so hard to get into a standing position. Of course every time we would work with him, he would resist it but every time he didn't think we were looking he would do it every time. With the low muscle tone our kiddos have things that we take for granted are harder for them to achieve. Jacob's low muscle tone is more evident in his stomach muscles. Always has been that way for him. Sitting was a really hard milestone for him. So here he goes in the middle of the floor grunting so hard to stand. Then falling and doing it over and over again. By the end he is exhausted.

So last night, I thought wouldn't it be good to be able to use things that he teaches me daily in my blog? I could blog about how he works hard and never gives up. So I tell Dave to get the camera out and I think if I hand him a ball he will walk towards Daddy and if he falls or sits down he will do his whole grunting and getting up. Well this is what we got:

Sure I suppose we see perseverance.. I prefer the lesson learned- do NOT let him see the camera :) Have I said how much I love this little guy? I do! I do!

Tonight I would like to congratulate my wonderful hubby! We have a bowling league (it's kind of a midwest thing) and we bowl every Wednesday with our friends Pete and Shannon. Tonight he bowled a perfect 300 game! Now he has done that a couple of times before but here is a first- He bowled an 827 series!! Picture is a little hard to make out.. unfortunately it looks as though my pathetic scores might be a little clearer. Figures :) All in fun and I enjoy it.
Last but not least.. thank you for those that bought puzzle pieces. We are now up to 16 sold! I have seen people share my blog etc but only one person has commented on the share tab.. please put your name down if you share in any way our story! Also please consider purchasing a puzzle piece and possibly win a necklace  or if we sell all our pieces a ring you can click here to do so. Your puzzle piece purchase is still tax deductible and your name would be forever hanging on Joshua's wall!! We are thankful for any and all help! Have a great night and God bless everyone! And please keep another little boy that I love dearly in your prayers-
