6 days and still counting...

First off we are still doing the last push fundraiser to raise some last minute funds and when you make a tax deductible donation you have a chance at a kindle. Please share our blog and giftaway! Click HERE for the details and if you donate please go to that post and comment under it. We only have about 5 days left which I know is short but again we leave in 6 days so time is of the essence.

I have been stressing in the packing department. It was suggested we basically take about 3 outfits for daily wear and one dress outfit for court and our appointment with the authorities. Quite daunting to think of basically living off 3 outfits and the one you travel in for like 5 weeks! So as you can imagine you will be seeing me in basically the same stuff days on end :) Even with limiting us to those outfits it seems we will still have 2 carryon luggage plus a backpack and laptop. I look at it and go easy peasy for us to carry. Sure it will be not so easy up many flights but we got this in the bag. Then I remember coming back we will be carrying it again and this time with a 14 month old. EEKS! We are attempting not to check anything in since if our luggage gets lost well we basically will only have the clothes on our back till they are found. Imagine high heat, no air conditioning, and the same clothes- I am sure it would not be a pretty sight.

Today I have to take Jacob for a follow up hearing test. That should be an adventure in itself as he is always on the go and I fully expect him to resist every step in the process.

We are hoping to hear from the bank tomorrow so we can go and make sure the bills will pass muster in the unnamed country. If not we should hear Friday. If we do not have enough we will have to attempt to "hit" (poor choice of word I know) other banks to get what we need. Basically we need to take all our money right away and they do not take checks and we can't count on ATM and well the country operates basically cash only. I still have got to put together a photo album to take with us for our court. They recommend the visuals for the judge to look at when you go before him or her to plead your case as to why you want this child.

I managed to get skype set up and actually set it up so that we can use our computer to call landlines as well as connect to another user on a computer. We plan on periodically video chatting on skype with our kids but at least I can call home and be able to check up easily on everything here. Well easily I hope.. I still do not know what kind of internet connect we are going to have but we should have access at some point to the internet.

I am off to begin my busy day- please continue to pray for us and please pray that this cough I have seem to develop does not get any worse. I CANNOT afford to get sick at this time.
