This is my last post for a day or so until I can get to internet connection. We leave tomorrow at 1p our time where we will drive for 2 hours to get to the airport. Our flight leaves at 6p EST. After talking with some people it looks like Monday will be our official first meeting of Joshua. It is going to be so hard to be in his country and still having to wait but we know that soon very soon we will meet him and officially make him our son (even though he has been ours from the first time we saw him).
We are still trying to raise approximately 1500.00 more for our return flight home. We have pretty much drained ourselves to cover the bills at home and are basically praying that we can raise the money for our flights home. Luckily Joshua will not need his own seat and really even if he did I would find it hard not to hold him. We are still able to raise the funds while we are in country however, I can't offer anything fancy. I just simply can't host a giveaway especially when my mind is going to be filled with not only our new son but also our sons here. One thing I can promise is photos and videos! As long as I have internet in our apartment I plan on plastering my FB and blog!! I mean you have seen the little boy... how can I not show him off?
I can also promise to post some witty tidbits.. well I hope they will be witty and entertaining. I assume placing my husband and I in any foreign country there are bound to be mishaps and mayhem. And lucky you- you will hear about them. My posts will be from the heart as well. I might refrain from some posts getting too much in detail of things because while in country I do not want to post anything that might be viewed by others as too harsh or critical and do not want to jeopardize our adoption. That is what I am going to attempt anyway but it might be hard as I tend to get opinionated. But I will give all the juicy details if any of what I see on a future post when my son is safely with us.
I really want to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to each and every person who has viewed my blog, prayed for our journey, donated to our fund and well just my whole VILLAGE!! There are so many things I want to say to all of you but I am such an emotional wreck today so that post will wait. I actually wrote all my children a letter in the event something should happen and I am emotionally exhausted and if I spill my feelings for all of you now- well I just can't cry anymore. Just know that this journey could never have happened had it not been for each and every one of you. Joshua is so lucky to have so many people who love and pray for him. God bless each and every one of you! I LOVE MY VILLAGE!!
God's GOT THIS!!!

I have been following your journey since the beginning. I first heard about Joshua from my cousin Jeanette's fundraiser. I was so excited when she posted that he had found a family and I have been following your story ever since. I am so happy for you that you are so close to bringing him home.
ReplyDeleteI'm praying for the rest of your funds so that you are able to focus on your son while you are in county.
