Just a quick post as I have been up for over 24 hours now and tomorrow will be coming quick with both my little guys waking up early I imagine.
We are home! Our flight had been cancelled when we got to Frankfurt but we were able to squeeze on another flight heading straight into Detroit a couple hours earlier. Funny story but they had us in different seats and we asked the flight attendant if we could sit together as we needed to be able to help with Joshua since it is such a long flight. They allowed us to but then all of a sudden McFly literally from the movies Back to the future came up and wanted his seat. Dave said that they put us in different areas for the flight and he was sorry but he just wanted to sit with us. McFly threw a fit stating he HAD to have a window seat and it was no option. A little scene was had but eventually the flight attendants were able to shuffle people around so this guy could have his window seat without causing to much of an issue.
Joshua was a doll on our trip. I know that it was not thrilling for him but he never so much as cried during the flight. As you can imagine it was bittersweet coming home. So much happiness for us and for Joshua to be home but again it was the first time I saw my mom since my sister's death so there were tears shed as well over that. We are taking a few days to just regroup here. Jacob is doing pretty well but we do notice a bit of distance from us which we expected but still hard nonetheless. Tomorrow we take Joshua to our pediatrician to review the x rays I have plus check him out more thoroughly.
Thank you for the prayers and support not just recently but dating way back to when we first committed to our son. I will try to post more in the upcoming days but our first priority is spending time with our sons.
SO very happy for you guys:)
