APPROVED

We just got word that our USCIS petition to adopt an orphan has been APPROVED. I am working on getting a copy of the approval faxed so that I can print it out right away rather than wait for the actual letter by mail. When I get the copy, I will get it notarized and apostilled and ship it to Joshua's country. It is the FINAL piece to our dossier and once they receive it we will get submitted to adopt him. At that point, the authority there will give us a date or invite of sorts to come to the country and get his referral. With that referral we travel to finally meet him. Then when we say yes we want him they will issue a court date to make it official :) I say official because truly he is ours already.. we believe that.

So that hurdle down and boy am I relieved. I keep playing dates out in my head and it looks more and more like we will be submitted on May 19th. I figure this because even if we get a copy on Monday it still has to make it to his country for Thursdays submissions. So I am planning the following Thursday. The average people are waiting for appointments is a couple weeks before they are given so that puts us at June 3rd. So it looks like we will be here for not only Ryan's graduation from 8th grade but Codys from High School as well. Trevor is on leave end of July and I do believe that we may be home with Joshua by then. I pray that is the case.

We have only one more day for our giftaway. Please, Please consider helping us out to get closer to the funds we need. We are still selling Jake's artwork and will continue doing so even after the giftaway ends. I can't begin to explain how all your prayers and support have gotten me this far in this whole crazy process. I can't wait to share with you our travel to the unknown land and share the first moments of meeting our new son. Suuuper excited is all I can say :)
