Day hmmm....?

It is so hard keeping track of days here. Many times we have to ask one another... What day is today? Our routine is pretty much the same day in and day out. Yesterday I was sick yet and had felt like everything had settled in my chest. Today I think the antibiotic is kicking in and I am on the upswing. My energy is still not 100% so I am sure a nap will be taken later today.

Tomorrow is our court date! At noon our time we will go before the judge and ask to be named Joshua's momma and daddy. We have been told this region is pro-adoption but there is a sense of worry for us. Please pray for us!

We bought a few toys for Joshua for when we are able to spring him out. The plan is court tomorrow and if the judge rules in our favor there is a ten day waiting period before we can get him. There is some confusion on what constitutes ten days. We were told by another family that they count weekends but were told by our translator they do not. After the ten days we can go get his new birth certificate, social security info, close out his account and get his passport. Those days of running it is encouraged that we keep him at the orphanage rather than spend hours traveling at that time. We are hoping that the agencies we will be relying on are quick and it should only take us a couple of days. At that time we will get Joshua out of the orphanage and board a train to Kyiv. Once there we will have our appointment with our embassy for final paperwork and medical exam for Joshua. It is a two day process then we can fly home. By my estimate it is looking like we can leave the country late July 19th/early 20th. Please pray that our time frame holds up and we get done quickly.
