Finally a day without rain!

Yesterday was truly a wasted day. We spent the whole day stuck in our apartment as the area was inundated with severe weather and rain that turned the busiest street into rivers. It was gently suggested that we not attempt to visit the orphanage which is located in like a valley in the city. Although we really wanted to see Joshua, we take our translators word when she suggests staying inside. I live in Michigan and we are use to some good storms but the lightening from these storms were impressive.. especially watching it from the highest floor in the building.

Not to complain.. well maybe a little but I have to say I am so over being here. I just wish we would be allowed to have overnights with Joshua and that would make it better. It is so difficult being in a country where nobody understands you. I think I bought butter today but we are not sure.. will let you know tomorrow when I attempt to use it. I make my way to the market and all these people are handing me these pieces of papers from the stores lining my walk and it bugs me to no end knowing it must be a sale of some kind and I have no clue what! I am missing out on sales!! I brought one dress outfit for court, one pair of jeans, and 2 capri pants. Today I sat on pine sap and now I am down to one pair of jeans and one pair of capris. Dave suggested going to the store but I get overwhelmed when the salespeople keep following me and I don't understand a thing they are saying. Most are so thin over here I have a feeling they are telling me they have nothing to fit my butt. I so wish I brought some sweat pants... they are like comfort clothes for me.

I am just ready to head home with our new son and begin our family life already. I have noticed the same blue mark on Joshua's head for a week now.. I want to give him a bath and put comfy jammies on him that are not girl pajamas. I want to play with him without a whole orphanage watching. I want to be able to let him get dirty without getting scolded by the caretakers. We are in the home stretch which is probably why it seems harder now. We really are making the best of it and we are enjoying our time here together. I just can't wait till our time with Joshua is not so brief. When I have both of my babies under one roof. That is when all will be right with my world.

Here are todays pictures... they had him in girls pajamas complete with girls undershirt and underwear over his diaper... Seriously I can't wait to plaster him in blue!!
