  4. I know that we do not know each other, but I want you to know that I am praying for you... not only for your loss, but for your situation with your son... I had actually seen his picture on RR a long time ago and thought to myself, "What a sweetheart, I sure hope he gets a family soon!" I actually know someone who just went through a very very similar situation in China with an older child adoption. God put this precious baby boy in your life for a reason. We don't always understand the journey required of us to get to our kiddos, but He knows the plan for us, and He will reveal it in his own time. Just know that there are people out there with you in their hearts tonight. It will get better. Have faith and stay strong for that sweet little boy.

  11. I don't know you but I have been reading your blog (I came to it from another RR family blog). I just wanted to let you know that I will be praying for your whole family as you mourn the loss of your sister. I will also be praying that the situation with little Joshua not being allowed to enter the US is resolved very quickly so you can get home, especially now when you need to be home with your family. Even though times are hard remember Philipians 4:13, a verse that has gotten me through many many hard times.

  12. I went to bed praying for you and woke up praying for you. I know exactly what you are going through. Two years ago almost to the day my brother died while I was in Ukraine in the middle of a much longer than anticipated adoption and I also was in a critical place in the adoption where I couldn't go home.
My blog friends helped so much with their support comments and prayers .
I want you to know your family and your son are in my prayers. God will sustain you through this and pray it be his will that you bring your precious Joshua home soon. Rhonda

  13. I dont know you either, like many of the other commenters, but have been following your blog ever since I heard that you were going after "Cliff". I saw his picture posted on "life rearranged" and immediately fell in love with him. You will never know the joy in my heart (actually....you probably felt it a million times over) when I saw the pictures of your meeting for the first time. I sat in my chair at my computer and sobbed. So many times, when I see and hear so many sad stories, I question if there is a God. I saw God in those pictures. I pray to that God now to ease your pain and to help your situation so that you may bring your precious Joshua home. Please know that you and your family are held in the hearts of so many that follow your blog. Keep your chin up and keep doing the wonderous things you are doing!

  17. Father God,
You are the creator of all life. You have strength beyond measure and wisdom beyond human comprehension. You are the protector of the vulnerable and a comforter of the weak.

You adopted us into your family so that we might be true sons and daughters of the most high king. You have set us an example to follow and given us the command to care for orphans. To be fathers to the fatherless, as you have done for us.

Press in and comfort this family in their time of trial, grief, and loss. Cover them with your protection, and shield them from all evil, from those who would do them harm. Hold their hearts tenderly in your hands and let your mighty power be witnessed through the healing of your precious child Joshua.

Don't let the work of the devil continue to affect the redemption of this child, but make your presence known by opening the doors that are holding this family back from returning to their home. Joshua's hope and future lie in your powerful, capable, loving hands.

We cry out to you now as your people have done for generations and we know that you have heard our pleas and our prayers will be answered. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
